Whether you are a RUB student, researcher or come from another/no university (external) – we want to bring together people from different disciplines who are interested in founding a company or NGO. After all, in addition to an innovative idea, it is interdisciplinary skills that will help you as a team to successfully found a company.
The event is intended as a platform to get to know each other. Everyone who is looking for co-founders is warmly invited.

As founders in the health sector, you face special challenges. To help you make better decisions and become more successful, we have created the free monthly webinar series “Health+ Start-Up Thrive” to cover a range of topics close to the hearts of all (aspiring) founders in this sector.
In March, we’ll have Lisa Schwarz (Marketing, Branding) to give us an insight on how to best market your Start-Up to success.
We want to give Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral students and lecturers an understanding of the topic of start-ups!
Be inspired by the start-up stories of Biology RUB alumni and find out which start-up offers and
support are available for students at the RUB.
Afterwards, there will be an exchange in which open questions can be clarified.
Take the opportunity to present your research project to a large audience! Attend the 2024 BMT event either as a poster presenter or as a visitor.
At this event, you can look forward to networking with other scientists, meeting organisations that support business transfer, and getting to know other projects related to yours.

Exchange ideas at CUBE 17 and network with founders from the health sector from all over NRW (of course, anyone interested can come from outside). Our first physical event in 2023, the Health+ Investor Demo Day, successfully concluded on May 11. Around 100 participants from different incubators and accelerators across North Rhine-Westphalia, including some of our start-ups, joined us at the O-Werk. Six start-ups that excelled in the first round of pre-selection pitched on the day, with the top three winning a money prize and access to start-up events. Check out the wrap-up from the event below.
